We've been home a little over a week. I'm making myself finish up vacation posting because I'm a big believer in sticking to your goal and my goal was to do a full review on the vacation. I was a good blogger and posted my review on the popular travel review site yesterday (it's under RayRayTheGatherer1 if you want to read it). Saturday I did my 9 mile run. It was the longest run I had done up to that point. Strava and my apple watch had a disagreement on how many miles I ran. I went with the watch because I knew I ran more than 3 miles (eye roll). Normally it is the watch being temperamental but in this case I had a pretty decent idea of what I ran. Moving on to the review. The day before I wore my "riskay" sequin bathing suit all day. While I felt like a million bucks in it, chafing is real y'all feel free to buy one of those hot suites from Doll swimwear...but only if you get to lay by the pool/beach and look like a dime. After that run we went to breakfast, I was dieeeeeing from sore skin and sore muscles and unhappy tummy and Hunter had a gnarly headache and started coming down with a little hack of a cough. At this point we thought the heat might be getting to him. Breakfast was at the Royalton buffet and it was fine but not great. Post breakfast we hit the pool for a while. The days get a bit fuzzy because mostly we just relaxed but I think this was the day we went back to the room and ordered room service for lunch (at Native 2's insistence). I wasn't hungry from breakfast and in truth what I thought was runners gut was in full force (you're welcome to look up what that is if you don't know, I'm not going to gross you out). In truth with how long it lasted (a week after we were back) I think it might have been travelers tummy. The food was not great. At all. 0 out of 10. Salmon came with no cream cheese, toast, capers, bagel...nothing. The most edible thing was probably Native 1's very simple chicken fingers. Native 2 ordered a sandwich and I don't know if it was supposed to be hot or cold, it was neither. Hunter napped, it did not improve his headache and cough. I napped and read, it did not improve my horrible leg cramps and tummy issues. The natives played on their ipads and lived their best life. Our plans for dinner were Under the Sea with the Michael Jackson tribute show (Native 1 has this very strange obsession with MJ, Hunter and I both really enjoy the MJ anthology and dance skills so we don't mind).

We went to dinner. We had reservations and had to wait (no big deal). There were several large parties around and it took a long time to get beverages. We were already concerned we were not going to have time to make the show. We decided we would bail and figure out food later if need be so little dude could watch the show. Fortunately for time sake apps and then dinner came out quickly...unfortunately only the apps were good. Actually the soups were very good. The crab cakes were not at all (maybe fake crab, definitely like a frozen crab nugget, dry no flavor Maryland has spoiled crab cakes for me forever). The main dishes were inedible. It takes a lot for me to say that food in inedible. My tuna was so overdone it was akin to cardboard in taste and texture. The sauce had no flavor. Hunter's was slightly better but had a very not fresh flavor to it and we both decided it wasn't really safe to eat. Natives had pasta, they ate fine. Actually their dish would have been better than ours. The restaurant was beautiful but I would not have even considered another meal there. Staff was kind we just didn't enjoy. We skipped dessert and hauled it to the other resort for gelato and the show.

The show didn't have great production value, but it is a resort in the Caribbean so we expected it to be a bit silly. They had technical issues abound and probably half of the seats in the theater were broken but we all sang and danced and had so much fun. There were the old favorites, some interesting bring kids on stage (we were far back and neither native asked to go up so we just watched), break dancing, and the classic MJ moves. Hunter too the photos and videos of that experience so I don't have any.

After the show we went back to the room. I think it was the latest we were up the whole vacation lol. Room was still loud, we still slept mostly fine for two adults not feeling great and the kids passed out the second their heads hit their pillows.
